This is actually a lot easier, and affordable, than one would think. The hardest part I had when making soap last year was using the lye, but other than that we made a fantastic soap out of just olive and coconut oil! When did you start making soap Ashley?

Probably 15 or so years ago, a friend of mine hosted a soapmaking workshop where she brought a local soapmaker to her house and had them make soap on her stove (kind of like a tupperware party, I guess?). I knew nothing about soapmaking at that point, but am always happy to learn a new skill. It was ready to go in the mold in about 30 minutes...and I was blown away. I couldn't believe it was that easy.

I always love making soap and I love experimenting with different oil combinations and add ins. It really is a simple process that anyone can learn and then customize. Thanks for sharing!

Just finished two batches of freeze dried food: green peppers, butternut squash puree, shepherds pie, macaroni and cheese with hamburger meat, and chicken noodle soup. The only item that was store bought was the macaroni.
