You are amazing! I've often wondered how to make my own chocolate and here you are with the ways and means. I've been here loving your posts for a long time now. You still come up with something new all the time. Keep up the great work! Lee Hoy.
Oh Ashley! I wish I was 20 years younger and not so broken up!! I’ve got the acreage just not the physically reliable body that I use to!
But I do enjoy reading all that you do and share and pass it on to people that I think might try some of the amazing things you do.
Now chocolate, be still my beating heart! I could live on it and would love to try to grow a tree but I doubt I will live that long, it would be fun to try😊
Please keep up the wonderful news I enjoy every word. You’re a woman after my own heart. I live in the north part of WA, zone 8!
i always enjoy reading about your foods , wish i could grow so many things , age keeps me from doing it. were are freezing eggs , we have an underground egg connection lol. we will soon start our seedlings for tomatoes and other things. basil
I am just in awe of how much you pack into your life. I wish I had half your energy! You have some really great ideas and tips for living the ‘good life’ - thanks
You read my mind! I've always loved to make chocolate from mail-ordered ingredients in order to save on all the packaging that individually wrapped bars come in. But growing your own cacao is so next level! New goals for this Michigander's greenhouse for sure...
I have been focusing on dehydrating for my stores, having been gifted a 4 tray dehydrator by a friend. Since I like to make roasts of any meat, and chickens, in one pot type meals. I also have an Aprovecho twig stove (now a bit of a dinosaur but mine is hardly used) so I will attempt to cook a meal on it this week, with a small chicken and some dehydrated veggies and broth....I assume I will be feeding sticks into it for about 2 hours....
Amazing. I saw a cacao tree for the first time in my many years on this earth about 2 summers back in Atlanta, a botanical garden. Amazing trees, beautiful. I had no idea. This looks interesting though. I would try it but you already got me hooked on the idea of making cheese so….
Thank you. I'm going to give it a try. I want to see how it tastes ;)
