Thank you! I would love to plant quince! My mom used to make preserves out of it all the time and it would be great to do my own for my children and grandchildren! That is so nice of you to send! 3600 Paradise Dr Tiburon CA 94920
Yes, I would very much like to have a few of those quince seeds. Would you care to have some of my red bunching onions for your garden in exchange? Here in NC we plant them in the fall (September until November...I've even planted some at Christmas successfully). In VT you may have to wait until spring, but you'd know better than I.
What a lovely birthday! It sounds perfect, especially with all of the amazing weather we've been having...although, I guess that's about to change and we'll be back to reality soon!
I have a quince tree that produced for the first time this year. I have about 20 fruits and have cooked a few...I think it will be an acquired taste. It has a quality that reminds me of rhubarb, which I've come to appreciate, although, a little goes a long way. I probably will can most of it in smaller jars so I don't have to rush into figuring out how to it.
My fridge just died, so I spent the day cleaning out jars, dehydrating and freeze-drying fruit that I packed away, and I'll be fermenting a cauliflower, cabbage and some carrots, because the delivery of the new one won't be until Halloween. I will be channeling your can-do attitude! I am grateful that I have all of the equipment and storage space for these solutions. Fortunately, I have a mini fridge that will take care of the essentials until then.
I too would love some quince seeds. I like your post and am ready to try them. I'm excited. 781 S 1100 E, Spanish Fork UT 84660 Thanks so much. May God bless you for your kindness.
Hi Ashley, If you have enough seeds, I'd love to have some. I live in north Georgia, at the foot of the Applachian mountains. My address is Joyce Rogers, 867 Lake Cove Lodge, Blairsville, GA 30512. Thanks so much!
I would so love to take you up on such a generous offer of some Latvian quince seeds Ashley. I have been following you for some time and am blown away by how you know and work on every aspect of growing and preserving like none other.
I can't ship plant material outside the US, I'm not setup to deal with cross border restrictions. If you have a friend in the US, I could send them to them and they could forward them. Let me know.
Thank you Ashley, I don't actually know anyone stateside, so I guess I am out of luck.
Take care, much continued success. And may your build proceed smoothly. Someone told me as we were building that all the trials and tribulations would be gone out of my mind once we were in the house. They were right:)
Hi Ashley! I would really appreciate if you can send me some flowering quince seeds , it is my dream to grow them , as I used to do this back in my home country Moldova . My address: 12225 89 st NW , Edmonton, AB T5B 3W5 , Canada

Happy Birthday! I also enjoy an autumn birthday (Halloween) and find this time of year to be my absolute favorite, for so many reasons.
I would also love to try growing some quince seed--I used to grow enough veggies to sell at our local farmer's market, but I've since downsized and am spending more time trying my hand at all sorts of fruits and berries, and quince is on the short-list (as are Seaberries and Mesabi cherries). Thank you so much for your kind offer!
My address is: 2 Marshall Hill Rd, Westminster MA 01473
We would love some! 3109 D Ave, Northboro, IA, 51647. Should I plant them now or wait for Spring? We are having unusually warm and extremely dry weather. We are zone 4.
Gleaned about 20+ pounds of quince and 4 pounds of figs, made 2 batches quince fig wine and 1 of quince plum wine. Thats 8 or 9 gallons of wine for the cost of the sugar. If I had pineapple or papaya skins, they also can be used in quince wine to address all that pectin in the quince. Even if you just use quince, it can work too, though the wine may not clear as well.
I try not to make too many trips to the brewing shop, but a pectin reducing powder is usually recommended if you don't have fig, papaya or pineapple available.

As always, I enjoy the seasonal posts. And you have inspired me to try canning pineapple!
It is also very generous of you to offer to send flowering quince seeds! I will message you my address if that is all right with you. Thank you!
