hi Ashley I lived in Italy from 1976-1994, then moved to Greece. I grew up on a farm in California, I have dirt under my nails (!) and seawater in my veins. I became a yacht captain once I came to Greece, but I have a huge, landscaped area around our home (football field size...) on Leros Island. Sadly, our soil around the house is very poor, I have not been able to grow much food and the summer heat is harsh (also because all summer for 20 years I have been running charters.) I love reading your emails and articles, a bright spot in the day. You have incredible energy and must be so organized! I studied in Florence, and you?
